Position Description
Overview
The Outpatient Infusion Center is expanding and seeking experienced RNs to join the team. This unit provides a variety of infusion therapies, including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, antibiotic therapy, and therapeutic phlebotomy. The environment is moderately paced with fast patient turnover, allowing nurses to utilize and expand their clinical skills in ambulatory care.
This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule. Nurses in this role will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Qualified candidates should have infusion experience, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills. Chemotherapy certification is preferred.
The Registered Nurse (RN) administers culturally sensitive nursing care to assigned patients that is in accordance with ANA standards, the NJ Practice Act, Joint Commission, professional standards and established hospital and Nursing Department policy and procedures in accordance with evidence based nursing practice. Utilizes the Nursing process in providing patient centered care. Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing care through the analysis of nurse sensitive indicators and patient outcomes.

Qualifications
- RN License/New Jersey Required
- BLS Certification Required
- ACLS Certification to be achieved within first year then maintained thereafter
- CSMC IV Certification to be achieved within the first year
- Chemotherapy Certification to be achieved within four weeks
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Preferred
- Prior infusion experience preferred
- Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team
